Sun-dried banana
The banana is a fruit that is widely popular in Thailand, because all parts of bananas can be used. For example, the banana tree is used as pig's food. The banana leaf is used as rope. The banana can also be made to many kinds of dessert. Kruy-Tak is one of the products from bananas. In the past, villagers had to preserve the banana to increase the length of time that it could be stored by peeling and drying the banana out. The word krut-tak is probably derived from Thai word kruy-tak-hang, meaning "the banana is dried out in the sunshine". Generally it is called sun-dried banana. In Phitsanulok bang-kra-tum district , kruy-tak is a popular product because in this province there is special banana species named Ma-li-ong that is sweeter and solfter than from other places.〔Dave, K.
